What do you feel when it comes from the heart, whatever it is that comes? Maybe you hear a bird chirping in the distance and it ignites your heart, or a painting, or the sound of the ocean waves crashing off in the distance.
No matter what you are doing, or where you are, I feel there is always that opportunity to remember that no matter what is going to happen in your life, this moment that you’re in is the only one that counts, and your heart is waiting for you there.
I remember getting out of the shower once and feeling rushed to do the things that I had to do during the day. And as I noticed how I was rushing through getting ready, I stopped. I stopped moving and asked myself if I were living as though there is no tomorrow, no next moment. I wasn’t living in that moment of organising myself, but organising to get to the next moment to be. Yet I was missing the fullness of the moment I was in. The moment I became aware, I felt more aliveness. Before, I had been just going through the motions.
There are going to be things you do daily, some of them you will want to resist, some of them rush through. Don’t lose the precious moment, you’re heart and love are there.
Find the appreciation for every little thing you have the opportunity to do, even if that’s just breathing. Perhaps you must clean the toilet–find the love and appreciation thats in there, and if you can’t, appreciate the toilet by hiring someone else to do it for you.
Why are some moments and experiences less precious than others? Does every moment not deserve your loving attention so that you can fully experience what it has to offer?
Your circumstances are just your circumstances. Don’t take them personally. Appreciate what is showing up, because it’s showing you something… find out what that something is.
Most often I’ve noticed that people are looking for something: a change; they want things to be different. They’re missing the point of this moment. Your circumstances are supporting you to realise something. Spend less time trying to change who you are or how your life appears. Act on the things you know in your heart that are calling to you. But above all else, appreciate what you have now. Love what you have right now.
It’s taken you time and many different experiences in your lifetime to reach this one moment. Do you remember what it’s taken for you to get here? You may not be free of your past in this moment, but that awareness alone is going to change your life, but not because a part of you that’s lacking is demanding it.
It’s taken you many different life experiences to reach this one moment, perhaps rather than trying to change it, appreciate it for all that it’s offering you. And don’t forget, life is full of surprises, twists and turns, and just when you least expect change, it comes.
Can you feel how incredibly free right now is? Even if there is pain, aren’t we’re so lucky to be alive?

Maybe just stop trying to change what is, and appreciate; appreciation deep in your heart is all you really need to be happy, no matter what your circumstances are.
