“Allow life to offer you what it’s actually offering you rather than what you think you want it to offer you.” – Kirra Sherman
It’s so easy to get caught up in the desires that move us in our bodies and our hearts.
BUT …”What do you believe that getting the things you desire is going to give you?”
When something changes, what do you think that change will do?
Imagine, right now, you have that thing you desire, the thing you think about, any circumstance you wish was slightly different. It could be your business or financial circumstance, or even a romantic relationship.
Let’s say you have it all of a sudden. Your business flourishes… then what? What is it really going to change? What do you perceive it will change about you and your life happiness? Let’s say the man or woman in your life all of a sudden becomes what you want them to become. Or if you’re not in a relationship, they turn to you and say, they want that, too. Ok, so now you have it.
Do you want your desires, or do you want the feeling that your desires give you?
Whether you have the desire you wish to experience, or not, imagine you actually have it and feel what that feels like. Connect with what it would feel like to have the experience you desire.
Become aware of your desires by noticing what are the things you think about, the things that you wish you can change, your needs. Notice what you believe they will give you if they come true. Do you believe it will give you anymore than what life is offering you now in terms of love and happiness?
Allow life to offer you what it’s actually offering you rather than what you think you want it to offer you.
Can you be present with the love and adventure that life is offering you right now?
Maybe what life offers is the opportunity to be free of your needs through realizing that those desires can’t give you anything you don’t already have within you, that you don’t already feel.
If you have desires for change, move towards that change and meet it with your presence. But before you do, allow life to offer you what it’s offering you right now rather than what you think you want it to offer you.
